Logistics and Planning Manager
Client Overview: Our client is a multinational corporation in the Industrial Manufacturing sector, seeking a Logistics and Planning Manager to join their team.
Job title: Logistics and Planning Manager
Mission: The Logistics and Planning Manager is responsible for supply chain management, including optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs, ensuring efficient production planning and timely delivery, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing obsolescence. This role emphasizes the importance of cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Procurement, Production, and Technology to enhance customer service. Additionally, this Planning Manager will manage supply lead times with suppliers to improve flexibility, coordinate the Sales and Operations Planning process, and act as a point of reference for the sales team in addressing customer emergencies related to delays and supply issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planning and managing operational priorities
- Monitor and optimize inventory, reducing obsolescence through targeted strategies.
- Actively collaborate with the purchasing department and suppliers to improve supply lead times.
- Manage the S&Op process, ensuring the balance between demand and production capacity and formalizing results in cluster and business unit meetings.
- Actively participate in monthly update meetings and S&Op meetings, providing analysis and reports on logistics and production status.
- Monitor logistics, production, and on-time delivery KPIs and propose improvement actions.
- Negotiate lead times with suppliers and optimize the supply chain. Serve as the reference for the Sales team in managing emergencies related to production or supply delays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering Background preferred, but not required
- Solid experience in logistics and planning within manufacturing environments. At least 3-5 years of experience.
- Expertise in managing the S&Op planning process and formalizing results in meetings.
- Knowledge of ERP systems for warehouse and production management.
- Analytical skills for monitoring and managing critical KPIs.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and a strong customer-oriented mindset.

- Improve on-time delivery and customer service through more effective planning and stronger cross-functional collaboration.
- Reduce obsolescence through stricter inventory control and optimization strategies.
- Enhance the S&Op process, ensuring constant alignment between demand and production capacity.
- Define and optimize supply lead times, increasing flexibility and reducing supply chain inefficiencies.
- Optimize supply chain management costs and improve overall operational efficiency.
